Storyline
Feng Xing'er (Tiffany Tang), Northern Liang's princess, witnesses the death of her family. They were being framed as traitors by Chiyun (family of generals) of Northern Wei. Her life saviour Li Weiyoung (Li Yixiao) is killed by First Lady of Li's household Chiyun Rou (Lily Tien). Xing'er then assumes Weiyoung's identity and lives under Li's family.
Weiyoung has been sent away since young as her mother is a servant. No one knows how she looks like except for her caretaker. Chiyun Rou and her daughter Li Changle (Li Xin'ai) plot against Weiyoung in several attempts. Even Li family second aunt's daughter Li Changru (Mao Xiaotong) gets involved in destroying Wei Young.
Prince Nanan Tuoba Yu (Vanness Wu) is interested in Weiyoung for her intelligence. Changru could not stand the sight of her love being snatched away.
Prince Gaoyang Tuoba Jun (Luo Jin) has feelings for Weiyoung as well. He saves Weiyoung from danger multiple times.
Tuoba Yu later ursurp the throne, but Toba Jun and Weiyoung manage to dethrone him.
My View
It all started fairly good but towards the end, I just fast forward and cannot wait to finish the show.
TPW is literally a framing drama as in Weiyoung is constantly being framed for whatever reasons you could think of.
Even the Emperor Taiwu of Wei (Canti Lau) questions her each time. Like "Why is it always you, Wei Young? It's you again? What happened? Let's put her in prison for now." *smh*
