Season One
Jo Deul-ho (Park Shin-yang) was once an ace prosecutor and son-in-law to head of Geum San Law Firm, largest law firm in the country. Deul-ho loses everything when he tries to report a corruption within the prosecutor office.
He then sets up his law firm in a run-down neighbourhood. Lee Eun-jo (Kang So-ra) is a rookie lawyer with Geum San and ends up joining Deul-ho's law firm. Together, they try to take down corrupted Shin Young-il (Kim Kap-soo).
Season Two
Fast foward to 2019, Jo Deul-ho is currently unemployed. His license is being revoked for a short period of time after a legal battle. His ex-wife and daughter leave him as well. Devastated at the loss of his family and career, Deul-ho decides to leave the industry for good.
One day, Yoon So-mi (Lee Min-ji) seeks Deul-ho's help in search for her missing father. There are a series of murders (including So-mi's father) linked to Lee Ja-kyung (Go Hyun-jung). She is the mastermind of it all and has a good reason for it.
My View
While season one is about cracking down corrupted officials, season two is about getting revenge through murders.
Worth a watch for both series.
